This in no way allows you to get out debt free but it does give you longer repayment terms and longer that you can put off paying those payments. Many students believe that if they transfer from one school to another that they will have to start paying back their loan amount. This is not the case. Most student loans will not demand payments to start if you are still registered as a part time or full time student. You will have to fill out more paperwork, however. One of these documents will be a request for deferment form. You will be required to have proof that you are an enrolled student.
Keep in mind that enrolling in a lot of unrelated courses will not allow you to get a deferment. It is suggested that you discuss your plans with your school’s counselor.
